![]() There were working programs like Psycle and programs that never picked up like BUZZle. Thus in the early years of the new millennium software similar to Buzz started to appear. However this was not a situation that could be sustained indefinetely. Consequently Buzz still had hundreds of users. Thousands more machines were developed and various third-party developers attempted to patch up problems with the actual program through various low-level hacks. However this did not seem to budge the popularity of Buzz one bit. However at around the year 2000 Oskari Tammelin lost the source code in an alleged hard disk crash. It also allowed others to contribute machines (sound processing components) easily, because of its very simple plug-in API. Because it integrated tracking and the then-emerging software synthesis and sound processing in a way that was natural and fun. Jeskola Buzz → Buze → Mute → Aldrin → NeilĪt first there was Jeskola Buzz which was started in the mid to late 90s and it was a revolutionary concept at a time. ![]() The history of Neil can be outlined as shown below. ![]() There seems to be a bit of confusion on what Neil actually is and why it exists. ![]()
